What is QIC
Quality in Cornwall is a Local Accommodation Assessment Scheme.The objectives of the scheme are as follows:-

allow all accommodation providers in Cornwall access to a well-researched and robust quality standards scheme.

by being all inclusive, raise the overall minimum quality standards of accommodation in Cornwall.

work in partnership with VisitCornwall.

promote all accommodation that achieves a Quality in Cornwall award.

provide best practice guidance for accommodation providers through the specifications.
The draft specifications for Quality in Cornwall are based on an existing local tourism association assessment scheme, which has been operating for over 10 years, and incorporates any necessary additional requirements. The local tourism association will adopt the Quality in Cornwall assessment as a requirement for membership when it becomes available.
Our inspectors have been involved in the tourist industry for many years and have been both accommodation providers ourselves and also quality accommodation inspectors, so we have a clear understanding of our client’s needs for a simple effective inspection scheme that fits with their individual business. We also have a strong background in green tourism, ecology, environmental impact and sustainable business management so we are able to meet the needs of our clients to become both environmentally aware and effective within their business – something many guests are now looking for in their accommodation providers.
