Waylands Farm Cottages

Waylands Farm Cottages is situated within Waylands Farm which is an organic Aberdeen Angus, sheep and cereal farm owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. The hilltop location gives views to the distant peaks of Bodmin Moor and St. Austell hills which are home to the Eden Project. Across the valley there are uninterrupted views of the fantastic sunsets that are as varied as they are beautiful.

Waylands Farm Cottages provides a wonderful base to explore Cornwall's beaches, moors and many attractions and then return to the tranquillity of this rural retreat to relax. A short walk across farmland takes you to Talland Bay beach and the coastal path; the more adventurous can keep going and catch the bus back.

Whether you are a couple, a family or a number of families wishing to holiday together, we can cater for groups of 1 to 19 plus cots. The cottages are conversions of the former stables and cattle barns of the old farm.

Swallow Cottage accommodates 4 + cot on a single level with a king size master bedroom and twin adult bunk beds in the second bedroom both sharing a bath/shower room. The kitchen/diner is well equipped and the large lounge has wonderful views across the valley and of the fantastic sunsets. The cottage is centrally heated.

Kestrel Hawk Barn accommodates 4 + cot on a single level with the master bedroom and twin bedded second bedroom sharing a wet room/shower room. The kitchen/diner/lounge has exposed beams as have the other rooms. The cottage has electric heaters and night storage heaters. The cottage was designed with disabled guests in mind.

The Stables accommodates 11 + cots across two floors. The upper floor has three bedrooms with high beamed ceilings and each having an en-suite bath or shower room. All have a double bed and the family room has an additional single bed. The ground floor has two further bedrooms, a king-size and a twin bedded room sharing a bathroom with separate shower. There are two lounges and a kitchen which is large and well equipped. Either the kitchen or the second lounge can be used for dining. The cottage is centrally heated.

Melrose Cottage accommodates 6 + cot across two floors and is situated in the heart of the old fishing village of Polperro. The upper floor has three bedrooms; two doubles and twin adult bunk beds in the third bedroom. The ground floor has a well equipped kitchen and a large lounge/diner with wood burning stove. Outside, there is a private courtyard garden. Additional heating is provided by electric heaters and night storage heaters Melrose has an integral garage, a real bonus in Polperro.
